BikeBus.club helps families, guardians, organizers, volunteers, schools, and community partners coordinate local bike bus activity. We treat household, rider, emergency contact, ride participation, and location information as sensitive by default.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including account information, household information, rider profiles, emergency contacts, club memberships, RSVPs, volunteer assignments, ride notes, route and stop selections, consent records, feed posts, comments, reactions, uploaded photos or media, support requests, and safety reports.

When you use ride-day features, we may collect operational information such as live ride status, check-ins, attendance, device-provided location, route progress, timestamps, and related ride telemetry.

We also collect technical information automatically, such as device and browser information, IP address, log data, authentication session information, diagnostics, crash reports, analytics events, and usage information needed to operate, improve, secure, and market the service.

Children And Riders

BikeBus.club is designed for use by adults, guardians, organizers, volunteers, and authorized school or community users. Children under 13 may not create their own BikeBus.club accounts.

Rider profiles for children are created and managed by a parent, guardian, or authorized household adult. We collect rider information to support household coordination, ride eligibility, RSVP, safety, emergency contact, attendance, and ride-day operations.

Parents or guardians may contact us to review, correct, export, or request deletion of a child's rider information, subject to legal, safety, audit, and operational retention requirements.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, coordinate clubs and rides, manage household and rider participation, support live ride and safety features, send service messages and reminders, process support requests, review safety reports, moderate content, improve the service, measure usage, market BikeBus.club, secure the platform, maintain audit records, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use rider, household, emergency contact, or precise live location information for targeted advertising.

Location Information

Ride-day location information may be used to show authorized users live ride progress, help participants join an approved route, support attendance and safety workflows, and provide route guidance.

Raw live ride location samples are retained for up to 24 hours unless we need to retain specific records longer for safety, security, legal, audit, incident response, or support reasons.

We do not publish precise household locations, private rider trails, emergency contact information, or live rider location data on public pages.

Photos And Media

Users may upload photos or media for club, ride, feed, or post-ride sharing features. Uploaded media may be visible to other authorized users based on club settings, user role, consent, moderation status, and product context.

We may review, remove, restrict, or moderate uploaded media for safety, privacy, consent, or policy reasons. Public or shareable use of photos involving riders should respect household, rider, and club media consent settings.

Cookies, Analytics, And Marketing

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, account sessions, security, preferences, analytics, product improvement, and marketing.

We may use analytics and marketing tools to understand how people find and use BikeBus.club, improve our services, and communicate with interested users. Where required, we will provide choices for optional cookies or marketing communications.

How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to provide, protect, improve, and operate BikeBus.club.

Information may be visible to household adults, organizers, volunteers, school staff, partner users, BikeBus.club staff, or service providers depending on role, club membership, permissions, consent, and operational need.

We may use service providers for hosting, databases, authentication, email, maps, storage, analytics, marketing, diagnostics, crash reporting, and security. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect safety, to investigate abuse or security incidents, to enforce our terms, or as part of a business transaction.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for service operation, safety, legal compliance, dispute resolution, auditability, analytics, security, and abuse prevention.

Raw live ride location samples are retained for up to 24 hours unless a longer retention period is needed for safety, security, legal, audit, incident response, or support reasons.

Some records, such as consent acknowledgements, safety reports, audit logs, participation history, support cases, or incident records, may be retained longer.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Sensitive rider, household, emergency contact, and location information is access-controlled based on role and operational need.

No online service can guarantee perfect security.

Your Choices And Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain personal information. Parents and guardians may request access to or deletion of rider information they manage.

We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required or permitted for safety, legal, audit, security, or operational reasons.

United States Only

BikeBus.club is currently intended for users in the United States. We may expand support for other countries later and will update this policy before offering region-specific international support.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide appropriate notice, such as by updating the effective date, posting a notice, or asking users to review updated terms or consent language.
